03 Rx-1 just changed dounuts, and sled runs fine at all ranges untill you let off. It will backfire and studder for a few seconds, then its off and runnin fine again. It only did it about four times today. Sure seems like electrical. Sled has 10 grand on the odom. What do ya think guys??? Thanks Again! Honk

sounds like the tors activating, have you had the throttle cable off? does anything on the dash flash when this is happening?

it does sound like the Tors but no flashing or lights going on, Engine backfires and fumbles for a few seconds and on with the ride we go.

Honk, bypass tors by unpluging the wires on the top of the carbs that look like speaker jacks and plug them back into themselves. This will disconect the tors from the carbs. Take it for a ride, if this fixes the problem then you need to ajust the tors on your throttle.

I had the exact same problem and I did what kitchen said and my RX-1 ran perfect. I have been running it this way for the last two years, no problems. i would defintely try bypassing tors.
