Looking for suggestions for Carb jetting sizes and set up for a Stage 1 MPI SC on 11 lbs from some of you fellas with old technology and or good memories or notes.
Or other suggestions if you think we have another issue.
Pertinent info:
Worked perfectly for 5 years as a 5-6 pounder . [22/26 pulleys]
Taken to Woody's last fall by a friend I sold it to for a head shim and switch to 10 lbs.
27 / 23 pulleys. 11 to 12 lbs of boost at WOT
Elevation 500 to 1000 feet. 4,600 miles on sled. Woody said engine perfect when he had it apart.
RPM 10,200 WOT
Holtzman silver springs I believe. We have the stock carb springs.
Idle AFR 11.2 cool, 10.4 hot.
50 to 60 MPH , 2-3 lbs boost, AFR 13.7 to 14.2
WOT AFR, 10.9 to 11.1
Sled stumbles, almost like kill switch hit when releasing throttle at 20 to 40 mph and AFRs go to less than 10.
TOR's has been defeated.
Goes like stink in a drag race but not trail rideable.
Woody did not make any carb changes when we went to 11 lbs of boost.
We think it has 140 mains in it and 17.5 pilots but not sure as we are just tearing into the carbs after getting everything else set up right.
TIA
Dave
