Can anyone tell me if I can use cold weather 5-30 wt. ATV oil. Also what is the number of the oil filter for the RX Warrior. thanks boone!

5-30 is the reccommended oil, and the filter is the 5GH- filter(Yamaha part #)

I have read you should not use any other oil except yamaha certified oil!!

Reason for this is it cools the starter, and a thiner oil can damage the cluches in the starter!!

Or something like that!

Welterracer is right about the certified oil. The nice thing about the RX-1 is that you don't have to buy a bunch of oil like a 2-stroke motor. So using the Yamaha certified oil is not big hit to the wallet.
