I need to replace the two heat shields that "sandwich" the exhaust manifolds just off the engine. I bought replacements and need to somehow remove and replace those 5 rivets in lower shield. (PIC POSTED) There isn't room with the rivet gun I have as the engine is above rivets. Any advice from someone successful. View attachment 175025

The ears of top and bottom shields where bolted together to form a sandwich around exhaust manifolds are broke from both sides. The bottom shield #9 is the culprit and is riveted to bottom tunnel.

If you dont have an adjustable head hand riveter( I believe mine is a stanley brand) theres no issue with using stainless steel button head Allen bolts & locknuts, alot of these pieces are assembled at the factory before the engine is installedThe ears of top and bottom shields where bolted together to form a sandwich around exhaust manifolds are broke from both sides.
