After riding 200 miles in Gaylord last weekend I checked my rear suspension and found the foward mount of the transfer rod completely seperated from the main tube weldment! (Pivot Arm) I am very lucky the rod assy did not jam the track at high speed! I also noticed a crack in the upper tube which the strap wraps around. Is this something that would be covered under warranty? (05 RX1 ER) If not, I need this part. Anyone have one laying around?

Mine was covered under warranty way back in 05 .I dont know if you could get them to cover it now though.They gave me the 06 arm which has been beefed up and comes with zerks.
If you order a new one im sure youll get the updated arm.If you buy a used one make sure it has the factory zerks or youll have problems later with it again.
If you have problems with it bottoming get your shock revalved and possibly resprung.I had my shock redone and it rides better than stock and rarely ever bottoms.I think the bottoming is what breaks the arms in the first place.

Take it back to the dealer. There is a known problem. But, be nice. See if you can get Yamaha to at least spring for the part.

I broke mine last year, Went to dealer and dealer got it warranted but I had to install myself and gie back the broken one.
Like len todd said BE NICE! dealer told me they don't have to warranty since it was why out! You'll get the NEW updated one.

Hey, Rx1-Wanted. My family came from Croswell. During the Depression and WW II, they owned the old Ice Cream Factory downtown. You had Mom out on the bridge lately? I still remember the stories my Grandpa told me about him and the Stover Boys fishin' in the Black River, behind their house on the river, with Dynamite! Then there were the ones about the G-Men chasin' them around during prohibition, ah, ... we'll let those go.
