Hey guys Im trying to decide what to do about a new track on my Rx1. Its a 151 but I have read some people putting 153's on theirs? Is this true without any modifications? Can someone knowledgeable please write in and tell me all the different scenerios that I can do? I made the mistake of buying a Finger track for my Rx1, its brand new and an awesome looking track but since Im going to be doing nothing but deep powder in the mountains I dont see this track being what I need. Anybody want to buy it, or trade me for a different mountain track? Anyway some help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have a brand new stock track(not installed) I might be willing to trade if you're interested.I'm looking for a 151 fully punched and clipped since I have the extros.

Hulkamania, if you are riding in Kansas, you have the right track now!
The finger tracks hook up like crazy on everything (including logs) but, deep dry powder. If there is a good deal of moisture in the snow, finger tracks work great. They are good for trails, spring riding, and most off trail excursions.
However, if your sled is ridden mostly in deep powder conditions, you can surely do better.
I went from the 151" stock track to a 151" finger track and loved it until I rode an Apex with a 162 x 16. Then I went to a 159 x 16" Skidoo track (so I didn't have to change my drivers) and it worked very well. So I wanted even more, I went to a 162 x 16 x 2.5" Camo Extreme and holy moly does it work well.
I have read the Kachess has had good luck with the Polaris 159" tracks.
Bottom line - If you don't care to mess with changing to 3.0" pitch drivers. Go with some rail extensions and a 159 x 15 or with a little more work a 159 x 16 will fit.
Another option would be to change your drivers to 3.0" pitch and add a 153" Arctic Cat Power Claw (they are for sale on tracks USA now). I am really impressed with how well it works on my M8. I still have the Camo Extreme on my RX-1 and it works well also.
I'm inclined to belive that the RX-1 would do better with the longer, wider track.
Good Luck

I can't find one either.
I see there's a 144 x 1.75 Camoplast Backcountry.
You'd be way better off trimming 1/4" off your 2" tall paddles of your 151" track.

it is just that i dont have a track worhty of the name it has separeted and have a 8-10 inch flap hanging...
so i have to buy a new one and i dont think i need 2 inch and 1.5 seems so small but have any one fitted a mountain with a 146 becouse then i can get the ripzaw track...
and seeing the difference the 1,5 lug ripsaw made the 660 fourstroke arctic go i think the rx1 would love it..

I figured out a long time ago, buy the track you really feel you want. Don't settle for something else. If you want a ripsaw, buy it, but know you'll have to change drivers to do so.
Me, I'd use your finger track and not mess with the drivers. They aren't wonderful in the powder but they work quite well. On the hard pack they hook up so hard it will rip your arms out of your sockets! The best thing about finger tracks is they use everything for traction. If you are climbing and there's a log under the snow, the fingers grab it hard and launch you ahead. With a paddle thrack, the track slips in similar circumstances.
Good luck
