We were at the track today running my Stage 1 S/C Apex @ 11 pounds of boost on meth, we added a bit of timing on top and got it rocking running 9.63 @136 with a 230# driver, with a 1.55 60ft into a head wind.

Couple of questions - Anyone think Cam timing will help us at all? How much timing with meth do you think we can get away with? We've been adding 1 degree at a time and are at 4 degrees.

At what DA was this?

I do run mid 10's @ 121-122mph all day doing crappy 60ft (1.6X) on my ZX 800 136" asphalt sled.

My raceweight is 820#

Once I figure out my 60ft problems should go low 10/high 9's....

And yes cam timing should help you.

Hi,

I run a 2003 RX-1 with an MPI stage one and my personel best is:

9.52 @ 137 MPH 1.39 60' (230 pound driver as well).

Congradulations on your times. If your are still running 1.55 60', than you will be ever quicker when you get thaqt figured out. I have heard from other and also belive that 1.2X in 60' is possible.

Good luck!

Little up date got it running a little quicker again no vids of these passes just time tickets. Sled was weighed at Martin at the shoot out 850#'s with driver.I'm sure there is a 9.39 in it and much quicker with a lighter pilot but starting to run out of track time.

Yes - that's with the wahl - the weekend at the shootout was a blast! I got to the final 6 on sunday in the braket and missed on dail. The track started to go away and it spun. The guy that beat me got a buy the next round and won the final.

We got a lauch master from dave at hurrican and it works really well - I love the sound of the sled popping on the line - I wired it up so the brake light triggers it - just hold the throttle wide open with the brake on - then let go!
