I ordered my SC kit but it won't be here for a week or two. I'd like to know what material the pulleys are made of so I can do some research for ordering and purchasing them locally. This way I can alter boost numbers if I need to, depending on octane of fuel available.
I believe they are made by Gates but are they aluminum, stainless, gray iron, ductile iron, steel?
Thanks,
Moon

They're definately not Stainless or Alluminum. They rust up fairly easy on the surfaces that don't contact the belts.

im pretty sure the cogged pulley's are aluminum with the side alignment plates pressed on being mild steel. scuffed and painted mine to keep the rust off. rusted up 1st ride out without it.

- None, looking now!
I know I just did not see this post. I do not want a rusted $5000.00 mod. I will paint mine as well, I still have some candy red with metal flake paint left over. That should look pretty cool?
