Anyone have any opinions/experiences with Scorpion brand helmets? I read one of the posts below about the EXO400 with the drop down visor and it caught my attention. I checked out their website and it looks like a decent helmet.

I've been an HJC guy forever and am a bit hesitant about switching. Any comments ?
Thanks.

No, but the sun shade is the only reason I wear a BRP modular now. The DOT/Snell rating thing has really got me thinking about discontinuing it's use. My friend who gave me the helmet placed duct tape in the breath-box to prevent rivets from tearing your face, in the event of a crash - which he already experienced.
If I make it to Novi, I hope Scorpion is there and have my color and size?

After trying one on and researching them fairly extensively, I can say I would have absolutly purchased it if it fit me properly.
Looks like an outstanding helmet, especially for the price, and gets consistent good reviews in all the motorcycle mags for comfort, no fog (but they use different shields than snowmobiles), ventillation, and noise control. These helmets have been around for a long time in the motorcycle world, just now beginning to get more popular in snowmobiles likely because Ski-Doo put their name on it and are advertising them heavily.

Just a little FYI on the scorpion helmets we have been looking at carrying them and I have a rep bringing some snow versions by. Maybe in the future we will offering them. I think the visor is a great idea and the color schemes look good to.
