Wanting to remove the secondary clutch from my 2003 Rx1. Any tricks to this? I havn't had the chance to go check it out yet, it doesnt seem like it will be a hard task. Any help or info is appreciated. Thanks!

Remove 12 MM bolt, slide it off. Make sure to watch where all spacer washers come from and replace accorrdingly

when your 12 mm wrench dont work try a 14mm, and as said watch the spacers including the one that can stick to the back of the secondary and fall off later.

Thanks for the tips, did it lst night. I figured it was easy but I like to be sure I'm not missing something before I do it.

Just in case others need to do it, hold down the brake if it turns, when you instal it torque it to 46 Ft-LBS.

My parking brake wouldn't hold it. It's studded and I just put the track on the ground and it worked fine. Just another idea for anyone doing it. How long does the bearing behind it "usually" last?

My phazer would move forward, I held the brake with one hand and and loosened the bolt. The parking brake would not hold it either.

I find the bearing behind the clutch last much longer then the speedo bearing. But I would wait for a reply from someone with an RX1.

My speedo bearing needed replacing at 3000 miles so I ended up doing all of them. The Jackshaft bearing was still good and probably would have lasted a lot longer with regular greasing. There are a few threads on here about how to grease it either by removing the seal or injecting through a small hole with a needle tip.

Thanks for the info, I greased my speedo bearing last year, still felt pretty good. I think i'll do all if them next year on my 03.
