Every now and then if I start from a stop or moving slowly i get a loud squeel coming from what sounds to be the secondary. It seems like something is binding. the sled doesnt move freely like it shoudl when this happens. Seems like the secondary may be getting stuck open. Can anyone give me some advise on where to start?
Your beldt is too tight.Take the washer out of the 3 screw behind the secondary.

So your sure this is this fix for this issue? Is this common? The sled does have 12500k on it.

Better tight than loose. At least that's what they say anyways. I'm married so I'm just lucky for anything I get.... ;-)
No really tho, tight belt = more hp. I don't mind a tad of belt squeal, as long as that's what's causing it. Too tight can wreck a belt prematurely, but if squeeling is just intermittent leave it. It'll stretch out soon enough.

No it is much more than just a squeel. the sled barely wants to move. I have to give it quite a bit of throttle and get the sled rolling at a low speed to get it to come out of it. Will cause the belt to smoke sometimes.

It does sound like secondary is open. How old is the spring? I'd pull it apart and replace the buttons and spring if you are looking at high miles. This isn't when running in powder and stopping is it?

i have noticed it when stopping in deep snow a few times that may be it but it seems clutch related to me. ill pull it apart and check everything including the bearing while im there
