I recently bought knee pads from Arctic cat. They are for the thundercat but fit the sidewinder. They look good fit good except! The manufacturer, commercial sewing decide to screen print the safety decal onto the pad. The book does not show or say anything about this. They are going back. I did not drill any holes just decided they are ugly. I'll be looking for a different brand of knee pad now.

get some pants with knee pads in them .

Let us know what you think of them. I used skinz knee pads on my xf9000 and really liked them but you can't beat the price you paid for those if they work good.

Will do. I actually had the skinz on my old sled and really liked them. But I think these are going to work and I got no response from Skinz on the sidewinder for pads. I will try these and if not I will try something else ..

I saw this on ebay: Skinz Pro Series Console Knee Pad Yamaha Viper 14-17 Sidewinder Manufacturer Part Number: ACKP400-BK 052100942. that's what was on my viper and if this listing is correct they will be going on my winder.

Waiting for someone to put a set on and confirm they work. That's the same part number for the Cat procross of the last few years. And the panels ARE NOT the same.

I went to the dealer today to take a look at the sled and I brought a knee pad with me. They will work on there but they do not fit perfect. The plastics slope different then on the viper. On the left side there are some drilled holes for venting and the very bottom corner just over laps the edge of those holes. You also can't put the pad right at the very top of the side plastics because the angles are different and the pad will not line up right. It has to have about a 1 to 1½ inch gap from the top. Personally if I did not already have the pads I would be looking for another option. If you have them you can make them work.

These seem decent. They are definitely not going to fall off. They are sticky! Nice thin pads 1/4-1/2". Clean look IMO. Nothing fancy and not removable without some work. The only draw back I see with these is removal. And by that i mean going to leave some goo behind. 3m sticky on back side. Not sure if I have them on correctly? But thats the way I liked best.
On another note.. These panels are way different the the previous Procross version. So knee pads go on a little different and the way they go one is diff.. Just the way the panels come together where your knees would hit(if that makes sense). The panels do not join together the same where previous pads went, and kinda wrapped or curved in(not happening)
