IMHO the gray looks great ;)! It pulls the gray from the grills and on the seat together.

RTK. Yes the skid plate is the same. You will need to buy the remount kit from Yamaha. It is about $13 and includes the necessary hardware and instructions. Where you at in Western Wi.??

Can someone maybe give a quick "how to" on installing the Skid plate.

I have never drilled out pop rivots before and am unsure about installing the inserts. A little added info from someone who has done one or many skid plates before would be way better then the poor instructions it came with.

Someone please help!

you need a 10mm drill bit drill the 4 corner rivets. you may want to use a smaller drill bit first and put it on the rivet and drill the head of the rivet will pop off then you can use the 10mm one to drill the hole.then get the bolt and slide it through the nut tool and then onto the insert and hold the nut with a wrench and then use a socket to turn the bolt as you tighten it will crush the back part off the insert not allowing it to pull through. and then screw in the skid plate

Skid plate install

Installed a skid plate on my Apex today. Afew things to mention, if you don't have a 10mm drill bit, use a 25/64 drill-works fine.

USE drill stops! and make sure they are secure. The instructions say you shouldn't go through more than 20mm, and I set the stops at 15mm which was plenty of length.
