Skinz Ultra Q

I am considering replacing the suitcase factory muffler with something else. When I bought the sled it had a Aaeen silencer on it and wholy cow was it loud. I took it off put the factory muffler back on. Who out there has run the Ultra Q? I am wondering how loud it is. I wouldn't mind if it was a little bit louder buy I don't want to wear ear plugs.

I put on the Ultra Q last year. The sound is perfect, not loud and a mean growl.

The website says 87db +/- does any body know what the factory db's are?

i have the ultra q and love the fact that its a more mellow sound than stock but not obnoxious.

As far as suitcase size goes the Ultra Q vs stock in size are very close. The Ultra Q is nice at idle but can get a little loud on long rides IMHO.

I guess the size doesn't matter just the volume.

The old mach z mufflers were suit cases and the aftermarket ones would fit in your pocket! Just wanted to point out that there is not any size difference to speak of.

I love my ultra Q. Has a nice growl at idle with a little snap on quick throttle pulls.
I don't notice it any louder as such just a more beefier sound. I got mine knowing I would be using it in a National Park and wouldn't be able to use a loud exhaust. No problem with park wardens who have been next to me while running.
Before i found on a hard pull most of what I would hear from the sled was the engine noise but now I get a little more growl from the exhaust.....makes the sled sound a little more meaty!!!

Again, size is very similar but you will loose 3 lbs the stock.
