Uh Oh!! 03 RX-1 Put new carbides on tonite and had the machine over on its side to do it. Went to go out after and it ran terrible!! Sounded like it was running on 2 or 3 cylinders. pulled the plugs and put new ones in same thing. Went about 10kms and didn't sort itself out. I checked for spark and its good. Can chain case oil leak into cylingers? I've had it on its side befor with no problems. If oil did get in, how do I fix it? What is air lock? Ant suggestions would be great!!

What side you dump it on? If you dumped it on its left side, motor oil will have dumped into the airbox. I suggest taking the airbox cover off and checking if there is an excess of oil jammed into one or more of the carbs. Excess motor oil could definitely mess with the slides.

Why would you put the machine on its side to change the wearbars? MUCH easier to work on if you just lift it straight up. Stick a car jack under the bulkhead and lift straight.

Oh, and good thing its a 4-stroke. Rather than just running badly, a 2-smoke may have blown up from sucking air into the oil pump.

 :jump:

Turns out some oil got into 2 of the cylinders on the clutch side and fowled up the plugs pretty bad. 2 sets of plugs later and it was running fine. Put on 400kms on Saturday alone!!
