Over the summer, I put on a ram air lid, CR10EK plugs, Ulmer Stage 2 Clutching, had my shock revalved, updated wheels to 2010 spoked wheels, put in a 4th wheel kit and marginal snow kit. While I was on the lake today I was only able to get 183 on the speedo. Before the changes I would reach 192-196 on the speedo with 199 in perfect conditions. I changed my belt, same results...
Why am I topping out at only 183 now?

air density, air temperature, snow composition are a few things that affect speed.are you pulling the proper rpm?. you added extra wheels but skids are fastest with no wheels and snow for lube. switch the clutch kit back to stock, and see if it makes a difference. the kit may be quicker but not faster on top end.

I noticed every year out with the Yamahas, they won't RPM much at all. Instead of turning 10,800 they barley run 10,000 RPM. It's like you have to break them in all over again. Part of the problem is valves and seats rusting if sitting for any length of time, the other part is old fuel left in the tank. It will come to life again.
Do a leak down and you would be appalled on an engine that has sat a while. Especially over the summer.

Oh there is a definate performance increase with the changes... I was just under the impression that top end wasn't changed.
