If you are in the market for a new 2005 yamaha sled you must act fast. The March 31st spring powersurge deadline is only a few days away. For you guys that want a unbeatable deal from a dealer that has much more to offer than just price and you are located in the western NY area you must go to Don Georges in Clarence NY . P.S. no hidden dealer charges, no freight, no prep, no games. Just a great deal!!

I deal by phone often enough... Dealers who won't deal with me by phone lose my business. I did the deal for my new R1 on the phone before going in to put a deposit down. The R1 supply and demand is MUCH higher than RX-1's supply and demand.

Yeah we have a dealer in our area that does the "no prices on phone" crap. He forces you to travel to his dealership to find out that he has No Deal, it is suggested retail price plus a $160 setup fee and he will not budge on his prices. Oh what a deal.... I told him that he wasted my time and his and walked out. I deal with dealerships that are not afraid to say their prices on the phone. When I bought my 04 I traveled to Fort Kent, about 250 miles away from me. He had no trouble telling me his price for the machine and he got my business. Come on Rockin RX1 get with the program and at least PM people with the prices. I think if your prices are fair you will win more customers that way than the old come into the dealership and get the price crap.

Rockin, I guess you just assumed I paid more at Weavers. Maybe, maybe not, but I think you guys over there at DG could learn a thing or two about customer service. You see, I work within 5 miles of your shop, but because of some less than favorable past experiences with DG, I have no problem travelling 5 times that distance to feel comfotable with my transaction, wether its for a $5 part or $10,000 machine.

Well boys, wasn't a scam, did my shopping and went to Don George's. He did end up giving me the best price. ;)! Talk to Don Jr. I've delt with him in the past and he never plays games with me.
:-o 05 RX-1 ER Candy Red :-o

Took my 03 RX-1 ER on trade but will allow me to try and sell it outright before the new one comes in. I'll get an even better price if I clean deal him.
Now, if only I can find out a way to break it in before the snow flies.

Way to go RoadRunner. You obviously have built up a good relationship w/ DG. And thats the way it should be.
I never thought they were "scamming" people. I just feel that by not willing to give ANY info out over the phone is the best way to court a potentially new customer. ;)!

I edited my post and changed the word scam because it is really not the word I should have used. What they are doing is not a scam just a marketing ploy. A scam would be if they somehow cheated a person of their money which they are not. Congradulations RoadRunner on your purchase of an 05 RX-1. :4STroke: Sounds like that Candy Apple Red is going to be very popular for 2005. :-o

yamaholic, you must be talking about a "friend".
I got screwed too. said they would guarantee me the best price even if i had one. so i fiqured worth the drive. Nope would not even come with in 800 of the best bid. did not believe me on price so I said let me call the other dealer and verify price. Would not let me do that either. That was on a watercraft. Last year made the call for a warrior. quoted me, hang on every one and please fasten your seat belts. $10,700 US. So I said that is 1000 above the MSRP on the yamaha web site. the respeonse. "That is our price if you want one." I understand making money and would never quibble over a couple hundred bucks. they do HAVE to make money to stay in business and they should for the hours they work and the customers they have to put up with sometimes. but man

MISS QUOTE

rbhme! ;)! Do you think there is any possability that the dealer had quoted you on a warrior motorcycle and not the sled. The warrior cycle retails for $11,799. Maybe it was a good deal if you were buying a motorcycle. I'm not sticking up for this dealer but mistakes do happen. Can't under stand why a dealer would be quoting $1000.00 over retail when most other dealer were quoting $1000.00 less or more!! ;)!
