Snow Flap

Has anyone removed the snow flap on their VKii? It seems like the heat exchangers on the pro ii’s are not really reliant on a flap like the full tunnel coolers on other manufacturers.

I pulled the sled out for the first time this winter and remembered the flap really getting in the way of me getting myself dug out and unstuck in the bottomless snow last year where i live.
Curious if anyone noticed temperature differences if they removed theirs?

I removed mine on my 2014. Kept getting caught in the tunnel. Never overheated my machine. It will fill my sleigh with snow now, only downside.
