Hi , does anyone tried that combo? Snow trackers on Curve skis? And which one should be getting, semi or aggressive ones. I’m running Woodys Slim Jim’s 8” and it’s time to get a new set of carbides . Any input would be appreciate, thanks.

you don't like the 8" slim jims? I ran those on my curves and they worked great!

They are ok for most conditions, but I was thinking about trying trackers. I just don’t know if that would be a good combo.

Get a hold of hellflyer here on ty!! He was running that set up. I think he since swapped to pilots?

Hmm. There is a guy on here running them on Curves. I believe he’s from NY and he says the are great. I’ll see if I can find is handle name. I think is something with hell in it

sidehogger. That’s him.

I ran them for one ride (900km). While they are great on packed flat trails they pushed like crazy in a few inches of fresh stuff. No darting at all , one hand down a rail bed . But wasn't happy with the weight of them with curve skis. Very heavy combo, probably 5lbs heavier than my current 6.9 pilots per ski.

There is some push in corners on Curves with Slim Jim’s, but nothing crazy, I don’t think that I would want more push .

I've ran curves for the past 5 years with with combination of different carbides and the best I've found for performance and longevity have been snow studs 6" double downs. Last me about 4k miles and handle great.

I have had the aggressive Snow trackers on my Curves for a few thousand km's now. Don't waste your time with the semi aggressive versions. They track real well as has been reported above with zero darting. They also provide lighter feeling steering. They do push a bit in loose snow but I also have a Storm 150 studded track. I am pulling the limiter strap up a hole to see how that works this weekend. Once these wear out ( they seem to wear really well) I have a set of Bergstrom 8" going on. I had Shaper bars before this and liked them but they didn't last that long. I guess it depends on the trails you are on... Hard pack.. they are great, loose snow not as much.

I had shapers last winter for one weekend and swapped them back to Jim’s , they dart to much with my set up .

Always chose the aggressives for any ski.

I ran SnoTrackers on Curves on my previous Winder.
I just rode it last week & it kicks my new Winders arse with 5.7's.
I spent 3 years dialing that sled in & it just flat does what it's supposed to do.
Any ski will work well if you set up the sled to make them work.

As for Curves with SlimJims compared to SnoTrackers.
The SlimJims were good, but couldn't hold the line on BIG FAST curves or "Bendas" like the Trackers.

P.S: A "Benda" is a Maine word for a corner that is soo big that it can be hit at 70 to 90 mph. Lots of those in the County

Do you need to make a lot of suspension adjustments when changing Jim’s to Trackers on Curves ?
