2011 Apex ER
So after 12 years of running perfect, I sold my RX 1 to a friend. Unfortunately, while he's a good friend he is somewhat of a huckleberry. I put 15,000 miles plus of meticulously maintained miles, though hard driven, on my RX 1 which I converted to Rapex 1. Having ridden a newer Apex for the past three years, which I love, I bit on a sidewinder. What the heck right? So I could not have three sleds...no room in the man cave. Anyhow, he is getting back to "sledding" so why not. He shows up in a whoopdee S10 pickup(1st sign of trouble) to pick it up. I visit him at his house a month later and he has the machine outside in some coverall garage tent in all of the elements. I said make sure to drain the fuel put fresh gas in, give battery a good charge and warm it up good because although I put stable in fuel it hasn't been running long since the previous winter. Everything else is race ready. He waits until its 10 degrees out after sitting out there and then can't start it. Battery dies...won't start...blah, blah blah. So what am I doing today? Going there to clean out carbs and get Bigblue fired up. After that he's on his own. I told him to sign up to TY and learn. We will see. Good part is I will get my last kicks on Bigblue after I'm done by smashing the throttle and showing him how to make that engine sing

Well. Bigblue 1 rides again. What a pia cleaning those carbs. Fires up good though now. The huckleberry is on his own now.

What kind of voice does the Sidewinder have?

For my taste, the three cylinder does not sound that good in either nytro, viper, or sw version. Nothing sounds like the RX engine.

It's so easy to trickle charge a battery I'll never understand why people kill batteries and waste money, guess it's part ignorance as well, I have to maintain around 20 batteries on our land, and my bro in law can't handle his 3 lol...also I've had good luck using fuel stabilizer and sea foam and running every three months cause I don't have time to clean all theses carbs.
