Just wondering of the guys that have removed the shock and spring in the mono skid, what kind of spring compressor did you use to remove the collar and get the spring off of the shock??

Thanks
Steve

i made mine, two pieces of 1/4" steel plate and two threaded rods.
took about fifteen minutes to make but i do have a plasma cutter!
cut a rectangle hole in one piece and a slot in the other, put the bottom of the shock in the bottom(rectangle end) and the top in the slotted end, then tighten the nuts on the treaded rod, do use caution as you don't want the spring to fly out at you.

I adjusted my mono shock with it still attatched to the sled. I loaned automotive spring compressor kit from advance auto. I'm sure autozone also has the kit. $59 deposit. You get all of the money back when you bring back the tool kit. Clamp opposite sides of the shock and adjust evenly. No need to remove the shock if you're just adjusting the position of the c-clip to stiffen up the pre-load on the shock spring.
