going to be getting some studs soon which backers are better sqaure or round? or is just a personal preference thing?

mbarclay.im wondering the same thing.i think its personal preference.im just scared to stud my xtx.bought it for long rides and reliabilty.put a stud though my heat exchanger on my old v-max.had to remove front heat exchanger to weld the hole.it was a major pain in the but.dont want this to ever happen again.but it sure would be sweet to have a studded nytro

I like the square backers. I have never thrown ar had a stud pull through ever, I shouldn't have said that. Just make sure that you square the backers up don't put the corners to the back or twist them. Make sure that you have enough studs, If you don't have enough you are putting a lot of torque on fewer studs than if you had more. I always run 3 per row in the middle. If you stud the outside rows put 1 in every row don't go every other 1. That is what I would do.
