Hi all,

I just received a near new studded rip saw track, just wondering if I have to worry about the studs doing damage to under carriage/coolant etc. If so, what would recommended parts be to ensure no issues?

the RS venture is a long track and not the best handling machine out there..coolant protectors would be a must. also if studding maybe choose a pattern that goes up the center and only 2 picks per bar, otherwise it maybe more difficult cornering. there is allot of info on this sight, I would also research there and I'm sure you may find much better advise than mine. good luck!! Joe

Thanks Sailor Joe. The track has a 96 stud pattern (up the middle, 2 per)

run proper track tension and check it after the 1st ride for stud marks on the rear cooler. might have to add some material if you see it was contacting on the cooler.

thanks for that sound advise, I'm thinking of studding 2 up the center on my STX GT 2up...end of season ice can be a problem on the trails without studs. Checking tension and visual damage to cooling makes allot of sense. Joe
