If I stud the Vector, I'm assuming that I need some tunnel protectors, right? Or is it just for some models that have cooling lines in there?
If so, any recommendations? Do the protectors only go in certain areas or are they the length of the tunnel?
My Rage was studded when I bought it used and I haven't looked in there yet to see if it's set to go or if I need to do it as well.
Thanks

There should be protectors on the Rage & Vector stock - not 100% sure about a Venture though.
With a 1.25" Ripsaw use a 1.325" stud and you will be fine (clearance). I would only look at longer studs if you run your track tight AND feel you need a supper aggressive setup. I use Woodies Signature Series and IMHO they are A+.

WarriorBeads:
Are you running the 1.325"s? I was thinking about doing them near the rails and possibly doing a little longer, 1.45", only in the absolute center, where the track has the least traction.
Another question:
When studding, do I then want to make sure that the lines are not in the same line as the protector? This way only the paddle would hit the protector and I'd assume that the fraction of stud extension wouldn't matter as it would miss the protector.

I run 120 1.325's Woody's Megabites up the center belt only.
I believe the tunnel protectors are installed so they line up with the track windows, so you wouldn't stud in that location anyways.
yes the protectors are on the sled already and the line up with the track window's.
