Hello,

I recently purchased a new (used) 08 RTX and am looking for things to do on it this summer in anticipation of next winters season. I have read some of the threads here on the site so I have some ideas, but was hoping to get a consolidation of things to do in response to this thread, basically what could/should I do the sled to improve the ride/handling/performance etc. I wished I had a chance to ride it so I could be more specific on what I thought it needed but the season had ended...

For starters, this is what has already been done to the machine:

09 sub-frame
New lower ball joints
Shaved upper ball joints
Re-valved Floats
Woody's 'Dooleys' (6")
144 Gold Diggers
Aftermarket grip heaters
1/2" total toe out

Thanks for your response(s)

Sounds like you are off to a good start. The main issue was the quick steering, by design, but not liked by the public.

You will find that many of the complaints on the site are more of a subtle feel kind of problem versus a more major issue. They are almost all real but not necessarily huge problems

Enjoy

Yeah man, sounds like your already dailed in! I would ride it first and see what you like and dislike. But if you have the itch to tinker with it a good rule of thumb is "when in doubt, pipe it out"

Good luck, and have fun!!
