I've read the various threads on engine break-in, and read the link on ring seating, I believe was posted by Cannondale. (Sorry if I can't recall correctly who posted it!). If you haven't read the link....consider searching for it, earlier in the year on this SW area. Extremely informative on how the rings seat and you have a very limited time to get the rings in place, and why. Obviously, even more critical on 2-strokes.

I am curious on how many members, and especially guys with a lot of engine rebuilding experience, will follow the recommended procedure vs breaking it in hard and fast.

This isn't intended as a second break-in thread....simply as a poll to put numbers behind previous discussions. If I've screwed up my poll questions.... I'd be happy to edit them, or simply mention your sequence.

I thought I broke my Nytro in right by going by the book. Till my best friend bought one and fed her the corn right from the get go.

Outran me every time.

I'll go hard early.

It's been a while since I have had a four stroke. Had an 07 Apex and Polaris turbo shortly afterwards. Drive them both like I stole them and will do the same with the L TX SE coming this week.

My kids have an XTX Phazer I bought last year and needed to ride due to a trail incident.... broke it in like I stole it and no issues either.

Enjoy the snow all.
