I stopped at a local yamaha dealer today. To pick his brain for suspension
adjustment tips for my warrior. He admitted he has no history to make suggestions on the warrior. He mentioned several tips that he used for himself and setting up customers, RX1's last year.Besides the usual good tips i have read, on these posts. He mentioned one idea, I have yet to read about. That is to remove the sway bar links on both sides of the machine. He said; this made a noticeable improvement on inside ski lift.He said; this allows each side of the suspension to work independently, instead of fighting each other when coupled.Has anyone heard of this and what would be the pro's and cons of removing the sway bar links?
Thanks

This is something that mountain riders do quite a bit to make it easier to pull the sled up on one ski for sidehilling and powder carves. I decided to try it and didn'tike the result and from what I gathered niether did spray25. He said he is seriously concidering putting them back in or did put them back in. I am not sure which.

I took my anti-swaybar and links with me and after a short ride returned to my truck and re-installed them. The ski lift is gone but the outside shock compresses so bad that it was worse than the lift in my opinion. This could be overcome if you want to screw the preload way down in the front shocks but then you will have a rougher ride. Go ahead and try it if you want; but either take the bar and links or bring a spanner wrench along.
