well near the end of last season my tail light acts up. the brake light stays on. now i konw its from the seat forward...or the pigtail that connects the seat to the wiring on the sled. but thats where the problem occurs....the brake light wires run into a group of wires and the group of wires happen to be imbedded in about 5/8 inch strand of wires...all different sizes and colors. now i dont mind my tail light bein as bright as it is since i think u can see it 10x better but if i ever had to hit the brakes to warn people behind me that something was comin or whatever they wouldnt know by me hitting the brake. so my question is do u think i should try and find the problem-which doesnt even sound fun-or just leave it? i use hand signals for when i come to stop signs so stuff like that could be addressed using hand signals...its jsut that when we are ridin on the trails i never hit the brake-thanks to engine braking-but when i do its usually for a very good reason.

There is a switch for the brake light. It may have broken or it just needs to be adjusted. It is part number 8CR-82530-01-00 if you want to look it up on the parts list in the brake section. My guess is it just needs adjustment.
Always best to have the brake light.

yep check the switch.it might be sticking on enough.

Yeah, I'd start at the switch too. One way or the other, I'd fix it Pimp. Sport has enough surprises as it is without having a working brake light.

The switch is under the brake, loosen and you can adjust between always off and always on, re-tighten and you are good to go.

Jim and the others are right it is the switch. If it was the wires, the stop wire would have to be shorted to another hot wire and at the same time not be grounded which is not very likely.
