07 apex... going to head out and get some anti freeze out and put in some distilled. What is the proper amount to begin with?

Why are you doing that? If it is for overheating issues, then don't do it..... Add the rear cooler and be done with it.

Adding an extra exchanger on a sled I've already paid 9grand for................................GREAT!

Is the antifreeze in my 07 straight and has to be diluted?

Check it with a guage. Mine was good to -70 c. Even up here in Canada it doesn't get that cold. I put a plastic tube in the coolant tank and pushed it down the hose and took out about 2 litres. Filled with straight water and ran it a couple times to mix. Guage showed good for about -43 c. About what all the cars are at up here. (mine included) Never had a temp light come on and my temp guage never gets above 180 f. Had 3 weeks of cold including a night of -41 and all is still good. Do that and you won't need the extra cooler.

some 05-06 sleds appeared and checked out to be straight antifreeze. Straight antifreeze wont cool your motor as good as a 60/40 or 55/45 mix.

I went for the 55/45 and added Water Wetter (great product). Now when I ride in low snow conditions my light does not come on- no rear cooler needed for me.

I'm trying to remember how much I took out of my 07 RTX. I think it was 1.75 liters and then filled it up with distilled water.

This gave me about a 55/45 mix good down to -40C (or -40F).

Definitely check the mix though - don't just go taking 1.75 liters out and adding water without checking to make sure you end up with enough protection.
