Guys,

Got a question regarding TAPP springs?

Is anyone using a spring that is 90 - 190 or 200lb Spring? I would like to lower my engagement to around 3000 RPMs on mt Tcat . When I had the TAPP on my 1100, I was able to have it engage at around 3000 rpms with the blue TAPP spring. It is engaging on the 998 at around 3500 rpm with the blue spring.

Any info would be helpful.

Thank you

TAPP Springs:

Roller or button style clutch?
Are your ramps all set in the "A" position?

Thank you following up. All my ramps are in the A position and I am using a button Tapp clutch.

If you can see the letter "A" visible on all 4 ramps and the spring with the blue stripe is installed, your engagement rpm looks to be correct from TAPPs website. Could maybe call them and ask if they offer a lighter spring for the engagement your trying to achieve.
