Half a tank of last years gas in the tank, half a tank of fresh 91 so I figured I'd play around with my TD SM 230hp tune.
Conditions
-4 celsius
An inch of fresh snow on the rail bed.
Rpms bang on at 8950
Clutching as follows:
Dalton Quay 70s empty (72 grams on my scale)
Yamaha O-S-O primary spring
Dalton 41-35 helix
Dalton black orange gen1 secondary spring at 6-1
22/41 gearing
1" track with 144 studs
After running this tune makes me wonder why I need more power LOL. Nice knowing its 87 octane safe as well.
Just figured I'd post some clutching for any newbies running this tune.
Cheers.

What kind of speed are you getting with that setup compared to stock?

Sounds nice..glad you’re having success with it and liking it. Sounds like a solid tune..with good power.
My 225 HP Hurricane SM tune(One of 3 tunes in the bundle) Dynoe’d at 235 HP and is no joke either and quite impressive. So I can understand what you mean.

Winter you running a clutch kit as well?
Seems like this kit would run on stock clutching. Turbo did you run it without the stock helix and clutch upgrades first?

I've GPS'd my sled over 130 mph with the max 17 tune. I'm sure over a longer distance this 230hp tune will get there too. As far as compared to stock, its been too long since I've been stock. You'll definitely get up to speed quicker with any tune...

Last year I had Dalton springs and weights and helix in the stock clutching. This year I put all new aftermarket clutching on the sled..TAPP and Pro 4 (see my thread on it if you’re interested). I’ll be trying it out for the first time in a couple weeks.

This is yr 4 for me on this sled. I've ran everything lol in all different combos. I did alot of testing with a TD GPS a couple years back and I've settled with this combo. It works great for me and how I ride but may not work for everyone.Winter you running a clutch kit as well?

I'm thinking of a tune , but want to keep stock muffler. Have dalton weights already just between the 240 am hurricane or td 250 tune. I had a eco tune on my last sled it worked decent but built alot of heat and blew black smoke anytime I got on the throttle. And honestly it helped acceleration but top speed was the same. Just up In the air on which would be overall tune.

I have the SM Hurricane bundle..and I love it. The 240 Hurricane SM tune is fabulous, as others have commented too. Tremendous power and great mpg. Can’t go wrong with that tune imo if you only want one tune. And nice and quiet too...makes for a real sleeper lol.
What are you getting for mpg wolf vs stock? I'm between the hurricane 240 or the td 250

I hadn't considered Ecotrail. I'd like a SM tune. I was thinking either TD PT SM, Hurricane 240sm, or the Precision 230 tune. Perhaps Ecotrail would be a good fit.
I'd love to have it tuned, change the clutch springs, and throw an XS belt on to get me close to the target RPMs.
My problem is, I'm extremely indecisive LOL. My Yamaha dealer is a TD dealer, so that would probably be the easiest route, but everyone here runs TD and I like to be different.

So the target rpms are 9300?
