I considering a tek vest pro light for trail riding in Michigan. Pros and cons for of the vest? Thanks

What model the race version? If not how is the zipper holding up?

I've owned a Tek Vest since 2002 (broken rib going over the bars)all still good, zippers and dome fasteners all as good as the day I got it. It has saved my bacon a couple of times since then, I never ride without it. I have the Supersport.

I've got the freestyle, and I love it. Comfortable, and easy to put on and take off with the zipper.

This comes in really handy when I need to take a pee break along the trail, since I wear my vest over my bib stype pants.

One drawback I see with the prolite is you gotta take it off over your head.

I think the freestyle may also have more ventilation...note the big plastic panels on the back of the prolite, while the freestyle is mesh and you can see the vents underneath.

FYIW, my daugther wears the kids version tek vest, but she has mom and dad to help her get that on and off over her head.
