Sounds good. We are driving further and are constrained by planned vacations and at least one rider flying in. I always make a general plan like that but it's always open to change depending on where there is snow (we go where there's snow). I always rent a chalet somewhere for the entire time and make that a base camp whether or not we are gone the entire time or other contingencies postpone modify or eliminate the saddlebag tour altogether. BION splitting the cost of a house 6-8 ways is almost always cheaper than a hotel stay at each end of the trip.

It looks like you have a nice trip planned out. I have never stayed at any of those places but they all look fine. Its hard when you have never ridden in the area, but when you stop for lunch you'll always run into people and you can ask about others experiences at different places to stay. I can't say that I have ever stayed at any bad places. Sainte Anne Du Lac is very nice, trails all around the Tremblant parc are very nice as well. You used to be able to ride in the park, not sure if its open now or not. Last I heard a couple years ago it was closed. Mont Laurier and Maniwaki are excellent as well.

I have never had an issue (touch wood) but I always like to park my sled close to my door overnight just in case. Its always good when there is light on it, it just a peace of mind thing. Again i go with guys that have been snowmoniling all over quebec for the past 15 years and they have never had an issue.
