After much investigation figured the best option was to trade 03 on a new 05 RX1e/r Candy Apple. Finally got a fair deal Canadian Blue Book Retail as value for my trade and full list for 05 plus he keeps Yammy bucks. Worked out to about U.S. $3,400 difference. Fair deal due to low mileage and 136" kit on 03.

My concern on putting another $2,000 in 03 for suspension and seat was that if 03 value in tank now it can't get much better with new suspensions on snow next year. Right now dealers , if they take trades, are going by auction not book prices, my salvation was the 136" kit and condition. I guess it is kind of a "grin and bear it " situation.

Dukester Hornings Mills is 20 km south of the Collingwood/Wasaga beach area at 1800' elevation, they are both on the southern shore of Georgian Bay. This is my semi-semi retirement home about 130Km. north of Toronto airport. Moved here from Northern Illinois in 1978 to be President of the Canadian division of Burlington Air Express which is now BAX Global.

I am trying to swing an exchange on stock shocks to Ohlins all around including the electronic in the rear. Figure go all the way on this one and keep forever.

Jim I am putting Oilins on the front also.

The one thing I dodn't feel real good about on the 05 RX1 is the cable from the clicker knob to the mono shock.

If I see that it is cheesey on the production sled I will also go to the Olins electronic.

We went to Spanish and Sudsbury several times over the years. Spanish is a favorit spot for one of the older guys in the group.

I agree with you on the cheesy connection from the dial to the rear shock. Hopefully it was just a mock up and will be sturdier in finished form.

Back in the 70's we used to fly around St. Germaine on our Scorpion Whips and Stings until I upgraded to the first Deere Liquifire, talking about big heavy sleds.
