It doesn't take long to realize that storage is an issue with the RX Warrior. The two factory answers to this is the semi rigid and sport saddle bags. My question is what seems to perform the best? My riding style is somewhat aggressive, but within reason. Thanks for all your help.

I have the semi-rigid saddle bags and have never had a problem with them. In fact I really like them. Good storage. One word of caution, if you ever ride two up, do not let the person behind the driver lean to far back. I did and the bag touch the exhaust and smoked to large holes into the bag.

I had the Semi-Rigid bags and sold them with my 2003 after 5000 miles of abuse.
Negative :
They were nice but the ice build-up on them was incredible. I would have anywhere from 2-3 inches of ice stuck to the bottom after every days ride. A real pain because the ice would take forever to melt and it made the bags difficult to remove because the clips on the rear strap always froze up as well. I also found that stuff was sometimes wet inside as the zipper goes along the bottom of the bag. There are 2 plactic clips on the bottom of the semi-rigid bags designed to clip onto the running boards...they scuff up the boards and in my opinion do more damage than good. I snapped mine off on purpose. Also the bags will rub against your plastic exhaust shield and leave a mark on each side.

: They NEVER moved one bit and held on better than any bags I have ever used. Really tough and took alot of abuse insome rough terrain.
This year I am buying the sport bags instead along with a windshield bag. If I do need more storage there is a nice semi rigid tank bag available that I have heard works great. I will have to limit what I bring but I have learned to pack very light and I am able to pack what i need for a 5 day trip. If you fill the semi-rigid bags they are too heavy and will eventually "pop" your exhaust covers out from the tips.

I looked at the sport bags but decided they stuck out and looked funny from the rear - like (stubby) 'wings' so bought the semi-rigid bags (used) from someone here on this forum. I really like them and doubt I could get along on any of my 5+ day trips w/o them. I put everything in 'space bags' which solves the wetness issue and also serves to compress clothes, etc to take the least possible space. (XLarge ZipLok storage bags will serve the same purpose.)
The only negative I would add about them is NOT to overload them! It is VERY easy to do!!
I also have the deluxe tank, and deluxe trunk bag. I generally leave the tank bag on all the time (I like to carry a water bottle and a few snacks + flashlight and basic survival stuff) and add the trunk bag for short local trips when I want to carry food for a cook out, etc.
Storage is one of the biggest complaints most of us Warrior owners have!

I use a food saver to vacum pack my clothes so they stay dry. Works awesome.
Which bags are larger? The sport bags or the semi rigid. I've been using Cat touring bags and they are huge. Hate to loose the storage space.

The semi-rigid bags are about 30-40% larger than the Sport.
Sorry, I am not familiar with the Cat touring bags so can't really compare them.

Thanks for all the input! I think that I will go the sport bag route. I don't need a tremendous amount of storage, but for the basics, this should be fine. It seems like it will hold up ok and stay in place.
