This shock blew up shortly after a refresh in mild bump conditions. Sure been punished way harder before. It seems apparent that the shock locked up on compression and bent the shaft, then the rest of the carnage occurred. But what do you guys see?

other than what looks like a star kit, looks the same as my 11 apex xtx one on my tool box. looks like it needs a shock and the bars that run beside it from what i can see.

Did your rear shock bend the shaft and then blow up like this one?

no. not yet. bought an entire skid out of a 2012 apex xtx just for the shocks to have spares that can be out getting rebuilt/serviced while the sled is being ridden on the other set. the stock 11 shocks have at least 14000 mi on them atm. they are in the sled for this season. gf rides it now and she is gentle on it vs me as i launched it off of every roll or kick in the trail and tail walked a bunch more.
my skid is out because of where the springs go behind the idler wheel have almost eaten all the flange off the outside of the rail that they sat against. torqued the wheels every time too and still came loose. been running the 12 skid as the wheels are in a different location and cannot do this.
