TINT a windshield??? Anyone done it?

I like the height of the STOCK windshieild but I want a BLACK CHROME look to it. If you go to the Yamaha Accessories pages you will notice that the BLACK CHROME only comes as a LOW WINDSHIELD.

That's why I want to TINT my taller stock windshield.

Anyone ever done this?

Tint will not stick to plastic for very long. It releases gases that cause air bubbles in the tint. It might last a season,maybe...................Cubby

Take the windshield off & take it to your body shop & have them paint it gloss black on the in side!!!
Looks great on both sides that way!

The black chrome sport windshield isn't much shorter than the stock one (maybe 2"). here is my sled with both; the stocker with a chameleon paint on the back and the black chrome sport.

It's a window tint in spray.I use this product when my costumer don't want a back cover light on a car.

For window tinting film ,it's impossible due to the 2-curve.One top to bottom and the other one side to side.On a backglass on a car ,i can molded the film,but on a plastic windshield,i can't.I'm a windows tinting film installer,you can trust me

You apply this product by the inside in several smalls applications until you reach your tint wanted.You finish by one more medium application to have a smooth finish.

Try Alsa corporation ,They make all chrome spray kits you can apply yourself I bought a red chrome kit which I hope will match the o6 windshields.You can find them on the net

Yeh nothing cheap about em, have found they,re products work ok but a large bite in the pocket I actually sprayed my warrior with gloss black on the inside and looks great.

Simich:

You can by chrome paint in an aerosol. It look like crap when you spray some on a chrome bumper.....but, if you spray some on the inside of a windshield....might look ok? Plastikote 615

What about the Vector GT.....same windshield?
