I have a 2010 RS Vector GT. Managed to get it out on Lake Muskoka and Lake Bays last week. The lakes were in great shape, nice cushion of snow.
On a path that was packed down i had it right to the bar a few times and was able to hold it there. The speed rapidly blew into the 140kmph to 150kmph ranges and then slowly crawled through the 150's and stayed between 159-160kmph.
Note: sled is stock except for ski upgrade to Kimpex Arrows. Speed reading was based on speedometer reading.
Interested to know what others have found?
My friend who has a stock Nytro (09) with cleats and came up with identical speeds. Perhaps the surface needs to be packed even harder??

100 MPH is about it.
I don't know what you think it's capable of, but the stock gearing & RPM range of the 3-cyl limits the Nytros & Vectors to about 100 MPH.
I supposed you could go up a tooth on the upper chaincase sprocket to get another 3-5 MPH, but why?
You want top-end, buy an Apex.

The '10 and up vector and venture gt for that matter are geared way to tall and the clutching are to conservative too. these machines can be a good sleeper once dial in. you can start by gearing it down to 1.85 ratio and matched the clutching to that gearing you wont believe how they pulled plus you will be able to reached a higher top speed cause the clutchs will be shift out completely.

Thanks for the responses.
Just wanted to see what others have experienced. I dont get a chance to run lakes much so this was the first time I had great/safe conditions to run it wide open.
Could not believe how stable the sled felt even at those speeds. Expected it to get a little twitchy but steady as a rock. That motor just sings at those speeds, almost like it could spin like that all day.
