Hey guys,
I searched for awhile and couldnt find anything on how to change a track out on an Apex. Do you guys know how to, or is there a step by step instructions that you know about? I'm experience with the skid and stuff, just don't know all about the chaincase and driveshaft area. I'm going to be selling my 1.25" ripsaw and buy a 1.75" X136"
Thank you!!!

At the top of the Apex/Attak section there is a FAQ post: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=42869
Track change is listed under tracks.
Good luck!

You will notice that there are both the links to how to remove the top gear on the apex, coupled with that of how to change the track on the rx1. now neither of these write ups fully covers a track change, but the only gap in this is how to pull the reverse bottom gears out. Other than this gap, thats all you need to do this job.
All you have to do is slide them off, and id reccomend laying everything out in order of how it came off so that you dont get things confused. Make lots of notes too, they help!
Also, make sure you note which way the washer on the top sprocket is placed on the shaft because it is curved!

Watch out for that little spring between the gears.

Make sure you get all the bolts out of the case. Some have missed the little one in the center, and then went on to beat it. then break it. Slow and steady, piece by piece, it will give you confidence to do any work on your sled after doing this job! Good luck!

I will be tackling this as well, sometime this next spring.
There is the shop manuel floating around the forums someone was awesome enough to post and give for free. It should be in there, although sometimes that can be difficult to follow your first time through.
But you too could be a hero. When you attempt this, take pics and notes and put it in the FAQ section.

Thank you for all the pointers and hints! I know its only a snowmobile, but I know how these new sleds can get complicated in a hurry!!
Thanks again! Hopefully will be doing this within a few weeks here.
