2011 Yamaha Nytro xtx
Hello I have a 2011 Yamaha fx Nytro xtx with a stock 1.25 ripsaw track, I do a good bit of off trail riding and the 1.25 just isn't a deep enough lug. I was thinking about upgrading to a 1.75 camoplast track but when I took a look up under my tunnel there are these two metal bars the stretch down to my radiator coolant and there isn't enough room to intsall a 1.75 inch lug without it scraping against the bars, the bars are welded the the coolant. I was wondering if I could fit a 1.5 inch track? Did anyone have the same problem?

Those bars welded to the heat exchanger must be removed to put a 1.75" track on. it's not very difficult to do once the old track and drivers are out.

I found it easiest to take them off with a 4" grinder. I grinded until I was almost through the weld then hit it sideways with a hammer. Just be careful!

Ok thanks for your help guys

Grinding them off is not hard. If you can swap the track out, you can do that. Just coming home from my first ride with my backcountry 1.75" track. Loved it! Much better. I suppose most anything would be better than the ripsaw though!

Going with the Cobra track myself, no mods required, great lug design to scoop loose snow.
