after having a new track put on last week ,i noticed that my right side transfer rod has about an eighth inch of play left to right on the top. does any one know what would cause this ,or if im missing a washer or something???? thanks, Mark

It almost sounds like the circular bushing that sits inside the top of the control rod is missing. The loop (top) portion of the control rod that slides onto the skid shaft is missing its bushing.

thanks for the reply,do you know if that would be the result of a new track being put on and they forgot to replace it,or if its just from wear and tear? (803 miles on sled)
Local: Most likely due to wear and tear. The upper wheels are pressed into place outside of the upper transfer rod loop. Your installer doesn't necessarily need to pull that apart when dropping the skid to replace the track. If they took the upper wheel(s) off then the bushing may have dropped out. More likely it has worn or was missed at dis-assembly. Also, take a closer look at the transfer rod, we have had some upper loops on the rods split and or break. (stock transfer rods )

They shouldn't have had the opportunity to go in there when just changing the track. Access to the upper control rod requires removal of the wheel.
