Planning on ordering a new 7' wide Triton Prestige 147-6' sight unseen. Any advice? Is the quality pretty good? Any must have extras?
Only plan on hauling 2 sleds, RX-1 Mtn and Ski-Doo Rev 600, both 10' long. It appears they will fit ok.
Any good deals in Montana or close by?

Hmmmm ?
You sure it's 7' wide? Sure it's not 8'? If it's only 7' wide you won't fit 2 sleds side by side on it.I have an 8x8 Triton Lite and can just fit my 03 RX-1 and my wifes 2000 SXR 600 on it side by side with hardly any room to spare. You'll need atleast 8' to get 2 sleds on it without a problem. Or overlapping the skis.Might want to investigate alittle more about the actual width. 8' wide would be 96" you'll need all of it!..Good luck!

I believe rep is referring to an inline double trailer. But to get 2 modern sleds side by side you actually need a 101" wide trailer. I just got a new Floe 12'x101" with a fold down combo salt shield/drive off ramp, very nice trailer. I did compare to Triton, Sled Bed, Karavan, I felt the Floe was the best one. 8)

Yes it's 7' wide, inside width is 80.5". Seems they will fit as they load staggered and overlapped on a 14' long floor.
Which is the best side for the front loading ramp, driver or passenger side? What about the access door, front, back, driver or passenger?

Can't remember my trailer #, but it is the Triton 12 ft with the Triton cover drive on drive off style. I love it. I tow mine with a 02 Ford Ranger 4x4 and it goes down the road great. Triton does a great job on there trailors and the customer service is pretty darn good too.

I'd go with drop ramp on driver's side, access passenger side (I doubt there will be room for access to rear with the rear ramp). I say driver's side for front ramp because usually when unloading in the parking area at Cooke City the snow is piled high on the passenger side of the vehicle when it gets late in the season. With it in the drivers side you don't have to worry about it not reaching level ground. As fas as accessories look at maybe a fuel station, generator, extra lights, propane heater and storage cabinets if not standard.
Places to look as far as trailers that I know of around my area are Pierce RV (Wells Cargo) 1-800-735-6342 www.piercerv.com and Cy-corp trailers' (Triton) 1-888-259-4242. Both of these dealers are in Billings, MT. Try the Thrifty Nickel too, they sometimes have a used trailer for sale and adds for new ones from dealers http://www.billingsthriftynickel.com/

I have that exact trailer. It is, far and away, the nicest trailer I have ever owned. The quality of materials used is outstanding. Stainless steel hardware and high grade aluminum everywhere. As you said, it is indeed 7' wide. I have found no real advantage to loading the sleds frontwards or backwards. It doesn't seem to make a difference either way. The trailer tows extremely well. You can SEE around it!
I ordered the insulation package and two helmet cabinets. I decided against having the spare tire hidden in the floor, as getting to the spare would require moving your sled first. I did not order an access door as I have found it extremely easy to open either ramp door for access. My front ramp is on the passenger side of the truck, but that is probably a personal preference decision. Let me know if you have other questions.
Good luck! You will love it!

Blgs,
What kind of heater do you have in your trailer? Any condinsation problems?

Spray, I don't own a trailer as I only have the one sled right now. My buddy has a Wells Cargo V-nose that is a side by side model. I think that the heater in his is propane but I can't remember how it works right off hand (vent placement, etc.). I haven't noticed any condensation as it has vents that have fans that he runs when he has the heat and generator running.
When I get the wife her sled I will purchasing a "Toy Box" RV trailer with heated storge tanks so I can go where I want when I want and not worry about hotel reservations.
Edit; I called my buddy, his wife said theyhave a Wells Cargo, I thought it was a Triton.

Thanks guys.
Only place to go with the access door is rear passenger which would only lead to a 4' x 3'6" space or front driver which would access the same size space plus the v-nose.
Seems the front would look kind of funny and I haven't seen any placed there. Any problem with front driver side?

There are several different types, they are also called sport/utility trailers. The manufacturers that I know of are; Fleetwood, Forest River (They have 4 different types) and Jayco. They are basicly a RV trailer (pull or 5th wheel) with full amenities of a regular RV style trailer plus storage for the toys (Sleds,Bikes,ATV's'PWC?). Some have separate compartments while others are integrated with folding benches and portable table for dining. I don't have fleetwoods site right off hand but here are the other two. You can search for Fleetwood RV or "Sport/Utility Trailers". Also another good site is a dealer locator that I found, just click the what's new for 2004 link and search for toy haulers. http://www.rvamerica.com/dealers/rindex.html
Jayco's site; www.jayco.com
Forest River's site www.forestriverinc.com
Here is a Jayco Talon pull style for example;

Holy cow a house, trailer and shop all in one. Thanks for the info. If the marriage ever goes bad this is all I would need. A roaming toy box plus no fixed address.

You might want to read Triton's warranty first. They expressly disallow coverage on anything but the frame. My experience has been where my trailer came with a box, lights, tie downs, bunks, etc. and the dealer, River Rat Motorsports in Bullhead City/Lake Havasu City/Kingman, AZ, would not honor warranty on the tie downs eventhough they didn't expressly disallow any of those items. So essentially, if you buy a Triton Trailer, you only get warranty on the frame and nothing else. I would of bought another brand had I known I would have NO warranty on any of the other stuff. :-(Planning on ordering a new 7' wide Triton Prestige 147-6' sight unseen. Any advice? Is the quality pretty good? Any must have extras?
