My 1996 Trion Lite 8x10 2place snowmobile trailer was looking pretty shabby. It had been out of commission for two seasons, parked in a field all grown up with weeds. It had two flat tires, rusted rims, a big hole in the deck, some of the lights worked as long as you didnt turn on the running lights in the vehicle, then none of the lights worked, both of the ski holders were gone, one of the safety chains is too short.

I was going to buy a new trailer but I don't use it much, In fact, since we bought this trailer new in 1996 it has been on one trip from NY to Maine and back but other than that it just sat in the yard. So I decided to rebuild this trailer instead. I yanked it out of the field, tore everything apart, and started ordering parts.

Its got 6 ply galvanized wheels, class D high speed highway tires that are good for almost 1200 lbs each, new 5 bolt hubs with new high speed roller beaings and seals, new deck, all new wires and all new lights, a new trailer jack, new ski holders with stainless steel cranks... Everything but the aluminum frame is new..

I figured it wasn't worth spending $1500-$2000 for a new trailer and leave this one sitting in the field. When I first pulled it out I almost changed my mind but the job turned out to be quite easy and turned out looking like new for about $500.
