Trying to drop my skid. I have the sled up on the lift w/ jack under track. Removed upper axel and one skid bolt. Now the last bolt spins because of sleeve. I can't get the other bolt hole to align to put bolt back in. Any one have any advice on getting the skid to line up with the bolt hole?

couple things to try. Might try to wedge a screwdriver, chisel or some flat device between the tunnel and shaft to put some side pressure on the shaft....maybe enough to break the bolt loose. If no luck....losen transfer rod by removing bolt....place jack under track/skid and play around jocking back and forth to get bolt back in. Hope that helps D

Remove the rear bolt holding the transfer rod in place. This will remove almost all of the force that is keeping you from aligninig the holes. This is how I usually install the skid. Also you may have to use a ratchet strap looped around the rear pivot arm to get that last 1/4" of movement. sometimes you need it sometimes you don't. Play around with the height that you sled lift is at. This will make a difference as well.

find a nut that will fit on to the bolt you allready took out. then thread the bolt back in to the shaft a few turns then use the nut as a jam nut to put pressure on the shaft. take out the bolt on the other side then loosen the jam nut and take out the bolt. works pretty good.

The trick with these is either a Electric Impact or Air Impact.

....Loosen one side and then snug it back up, loosen the other side and snug it back up. Now take them both out.

.....Remove the bolt holding the weight transfer rod in place, start at the front and go back. Put the weight transfer rod bolt back in last, as you lower the sled to the ground. I've done this many times works everytime easy as pie ;)!
