So, I bought these bolts and washers reinstall the muffler. They dont seem to want to go in and I dont want to force things and screw up the turbo. The stock bolts go in without issue. I am missing something?

Did they sell you the wrong bolts?

If the stock ones go in with no issues the threads should be fine. Do the new ones have a little dab of locktight or some other stuff on the threads?

FYI, I purchased SS bolts slightly longer and had to cut them to length. What I found is the 2 bottom flange holes don't go all the way through. I checked by inserting small screwdriver in holes. It would suck to bottom out and snap bolts. My 2 bottom bolts are now slightly shorter.

Thanks. This is really any hole. Maybe a bad batch of bolts?? May try to buy some more tomorrow.

I'd be very suspect the ones you got were mismarked or just plain wrong. If you don't have a die with the same thread, often hardware stores have thread checkers where they are selling their bolts and nuts. Take them there and see if they are the right thread. Make sure to bring an old one to compare to. Don't tell me, they were made in China. LOL

X2..
Try n mesh one of the old bolt to a new one, hold the bolts with the heads opposite to each other and see how the threads fit together, when you put the two threads together they should fit together perfectly. At least that will tell you if the pitch is right or not.

Turboflash way is the best way..
