Turbo Nytro Clutching ?

I want to know where you plan to ride at 12000 feet with a 3/4" track, especially when you weigh over 350 pounds

Just kidding that was all sarcasm.

Sorry dont know jack about turbo clutching but couldn't resist.

Mohahaha :jump: thats the way it goes when one lay out the facts to good :jump:

I am partial to the 20/50 supertorquer 2 speeds but the supertips will work too. It,s just that the 2 speeds are so easy to tune & dial in. Do you have a preference on what weight you want to use?

No ,im open to all suggestions.
I have heard that Nytros are belt eaters when they are turboed.
Should a more shallow helix be good to help that problem ?
What about mcx own weights ,are the any good ?
Sorry but what is: 20/50 supertorquer ?
/thanks.

Eating belts is usually a result of bad clutching.
Using too steep a helix without enuff secondary pretension is the cause of that.
20/50 is a weight made bt supertorquer.
Check out their website.

I don,t know anything about the mcx express weight as i have never used em. I am sure tho they have some good set ups.

clutching

I have been running the 60g supertips for two seasons, which seems to be a good starting point for tuning the MCX. I run the 230 kit.

What helix are you using in the secondary - and what spring ?

:4STroke:

I run the stock RTX 43, and the yam white sec spring. Y-W-Y in the primary.

What is your average belt life (with turbo).
Im trying to find out a good combo which is nice to my belt.
(dont want to end up like the skidoo boys).

Here is what I run on my MCX (270 kit) Nytro with a 162 2.5. These are mountain setups though.

8BU-00 (48.7 Grams) weights fully loaded 9 grams.
B W B primary spring
14.5 Rollers

45 degree helix
Pink secondary wound 70 degrees.
OR
47 degree helix with cat purple.

There are soooo many factors for a clutch setup, there are no setup thats best on everything!
For scandinavian driving, both on and off trail, where off trail is boondocking/treeriding i would suggest 14.5mm rollers, blue/wh/blue and supertips or heavyhitters.

45° helix with Yamaha white @ 60°
or if you boondock alot an cat purple @ 70°.

This works pretty good, but i've seen Nytro MTX's blowing belts regardless off tuning and cooling if boondocking a really long time without letting the clutches cool down.
