Ultra Q cracked

After 2000 miles with my Skinz Ultra Q muffler it has cracked. Bad. I emailed Skinz but because it's over a year old they won't warranty it. I bought it for $230 and now they are $350. I love the sound but not really interested in buying from them again.

What should I buy now?

I had one on a past Nytro of mine. I also loved the sound but it did crack after the first season. If I remember, it cracked on the bottom along a formed bend in the outer casing. Just tig-welded it back together and it held just fine. You can probably have a local machine shop do that for you a LOT cheaper than buying a new one.

I do remember many years ago, Skinz sent out a bad batch and almost all of them were cracking. I've put over 4000 miles on mine and haven't had any issues (knock on wood). If you do some searching you may find some old threads about this issue.

See if a muffler shop can weld it for you.
