Well I'm back from a 4 day ban... I'd like to thank all the gentlemen that gave honest to goodness answers and especially those that really dissagreed with me but did not flame away like a little boy might. I very much appreciate your posts. The post is deleteted now.
I found my clickers were not set from the dealership. They were all the way to one side so they were never touched. I had asked the mechanic what the factory settings were and he couldn't quite remember. I guess they missed my sled. This was probably not what I was complaining about. The sled is extremely prone to darting from the factory and it's very dangerous until you fix the problem! I feel totally different about the sled now. I may need a little more adjusting on the clickers but now the sled totally rocks. One of the last posters on that poll had an excellent post! Sorry that was deleted as it was very good and explained what Sweedish sledder was telling me. Sweedish sledder is another good guy. He doesn't start calling you an idiot when you haven't got the thing figuered out yet and start complaining. Thanks for that!
I was doing power turns with it under full to 3/4 throttle and was practicing my power drifts around corners. I had no problems with holding her WFO for one mile long pulls, out on the Bay. I switched over to a Mach 1000 my buddy had. I wanted him to feel this motor. He said he felt it was faster than the SDI 1000 Mach. I said not on the top end. Under hard braking I was able to control the skid without any bad feelings unlike before. It had a lot to do with the new snow. Conditions play a very big part. When a nytro darts its far more dangerous than older designs...
I may have slighted some guys saying "you must not be driving hard if you can't feel this" and I appologize. That was not the problem.
I said I would update my posts so I thought I should post this. I'm up to 95% happy now but only after me changing a lot of things that Yamaha should have done to begin with. For all you guys that still think your Nytro is a POS think again. It's probably the darting or too much weight transfer.

I am willing to forget the past and move on and I apologize for naming you and the other guy in the post I made. I could have made my point without naming names and of course calling people names
For the record I ask the mods to delete the post.
Hopefully you can find some happiness with your XTX. I know I wouldn't be happy if I made a 11000 dollar purchase and I hated the sled wither. Good Luck

There over $14,000 in Canada.
Just changed my avatar as an apology for getting so Peed off. Just drove over to my friends house to see what's taking them. Apparantly some people have to work all winter so they have to take the afternoon off. I want to race! A friend down from Ontario has an Artic Cat from the US with lots of engine mods. Everybody will be racing. Everybody has fast machines. It will be a lot of fun.
I have the 1.5 track and the Avid drivers installed. I doubt the MBRP makes any real difference except for the music I can play. But that 1.5 studded track and those drivers do. I like 114 for this sled up the middle for all around riding racing.
Right now I'm reading about that shim under the front rubber on the ski saddle. I'ts not exactly clear yet how to fit them in to me. I have them made wiht the rubber knobs cut off as I know when things get warm and it refreeses it will want to dart a little again. Right now we have two days of snow with a little freezing rain inbetween with more snow on the way. I can drive to Quebec in two days from my garage. I don't as thay have cops with radar guns all over on weekends. Plus it's the law to have mirrors and twice as many sleds get stolen.

Glad to hear you are getting it figured out! I was quite miffed at the latest post you had made about the sled and the way you were coming off on things about it! I'm not brand loyal defending either, this is my very first Yamaha ever, although with as much as I'm loving this sled I could easily get there!
With all the mods you had done and the way you were talking I just assumed you had already gone through the suspension! I find it to be an incredibly adjustable suspension and one that has quite a big impact even with the most minor adjustments! My dealer had mine all set up exactly the way it should be sent out as per the owners manual but I still spent one afternoon to make sure all the clickers, preloads, torsion springs, transfer rods, etc... were where they should be. All of the Yamaha recommended settings are in your owners manual and very clear to follow. I rode mine this way on my very first ride and it was really close to my liking but made just a few minor changes with clickers to accommodate conditions on day two. Awesome. My brother bought an 09 Dragon 800 Switchback this year and on his first ride he put it in the garage with only 38 miles on it. He said it was virtually unrideable. Would push like crazy in the corners and trying to sidehill a ditch it would just suck him into the bottom, no way could he keep it on top! That sled comes with those Ryde FX Air 2.0 shocks and I asked him if he had checked the air pressure in them, he said no! I told him to go buy that Schrader Valve kit so he could check and adjust the pressures(they don't come from factory with them like the FOX Floats), so that evening we pulled the shocks off of the front to put the valves in and there was virtually NO air in them whatsoever from factory!! That's why checking suspensions is so important. We put in the valves, aired them up to a little higher than factory and when he took it out he said that's where his problem had been! Made a world of difference. It stands 2.5-3" higher at the front bumper now! Poor suspension settings can make or break a sled! Very important. This is not directed directly at you gems4sale, but just an example to show everybody that it doesn't matter what brand you ride, if it isn't set up right it's not gonna perform right! With that said, I'd say I'm about 98-99% happy with my XTX!! I haven't smiled on a sled like this in years!! Glad to hear it's startin to work out for you!

I never got to ride my sled before the changes I've made so I can't give an honest opinion of how these things come stock. The way I have it set up now I'd give it a 90% satisfied. These sleds need hot grips that work and a normal sized fuel tank. These are my only two gripes but in my opinion they have to be adressed by Yamaha before they will be taken seriously as a top sled maker. I'm not saying other makes are without thier faults but these two things are so basic it begs the question; if they cant fix the little problems how bout hte big ones. As far as suspension goes, with the adjustability of these things if you don't like the way it's working for most of us joe blows it's because we don't have them set up right. I put wide skis and a track on mine and I can't imagine this sled without either.
