I love mine..no issues....curious whats the used market like...whats a killer deal??

lack of clearance? 7500.00 is what i can get it for i think its a good deal?

Unless it's been crashed it is a heck of a good deal! If you don't want it let me know I'll come and take a look!

Ya good deal for sure. I would just check with other members to see what they are doing on the idea of studs as the ones I have worked on in the past did not have much leeway for clearance. My XTX has more clearance than the monoshock skid, and I ran into studs hitting exhaust, so I dropped the protectors and riveted an aluminum plate to the top of the protectors. No issues since!

For the studding issues, you may want to look at the Hauck kit, a rivet on hyfax attachment to the stock tunnel protectors:

On my XTX there is noticeably more clearance than the standards that I looked at. Also, I reinforced the brackets that hold the tunnel protectors to the sled, to prevent them from flexing. Used rubber stoppers.`

I think I looked at this sled the other day. Looked good. sounds like a killer deal. Don't see how you could go wrong!

ok looking at it wensday will let you guys know thanks, if you put a plate over the exup do you guys see that causing any issues?

I have a 12 128". All I did was put a 1/4" thick washer under the protector bracket's. Just need to drop the rear of the skid out, you will need to take the three screw's out of the dial adjuster and lay it on the skid out of the way aswell. Not even a nick so far. This is Yamaha's recommendation!
You will need some blue lock tight because the self locking nut's will no longer go on far enough to lock.

i put the plastic on my 06 apex and 04 warrior 6 years ago i bet before hauck thought of it

on the tunnel protectors
