Just finishing up the MCX install and was wondering what sort of jet size other turbo vectors were running. We mostly ride from 5000 to 8000 feet. Thanks,

Boy there's a topic that no one can agree on,mainly because we haven't had enough snow to test properly, but I'll tell you this, start putting your pulse pumps back on,we've been having an issue with the engine going suddenly rich when you back off the throttle,I've traced the problem down the rising rate regulator,it can't react fast enough when you cut the throttle and a severe fuel pressue spike happens,as much 12 psi, then it momentarily over fuel the engine and has been fooling everyone into thinking that the mid range is rich, this is actually the same problem that RX-1's have it just that the RX-1 doesn't fall on it's face so bad.So far I haven't been able to figure out a way of cutting the fuel pressure at the same time as the throttle is cut, without installing the pulse pumps,2lb hobbs switch and relay, alot of hoses and wires. This week the parts should be in to put it all together, and I'll let you know how it works.Back to your original question,I lowered the pilot jet down to a 40 took the main to a 150 and the fuel screw to 1.25 turns out and so far that's where it runs the best, but it'll probably change when I put the pulse pumps back in.

Thrusted Vector

Let us know if that works for you and a little diagram of what ya did.?

thanx

It doesn't seem to matter what mains i run, it still works good. Like Thrusted vector says, headache on the bottom and mid. just when you think you have it, it won't idle down...lean? Next thing it won't start unless you have the throttle wide open...rich? Driving me nuts with limited time on the snow. Got some time on it in the Mtns at Valemount this weekend, one thing for sure, when the boost comes on it goes and goes up everything in sight....scary, but a hoot. I was pulling 87km track speed while going uphill in fresh soft snow.....and it was under revving at about 8200rpm!!!
